Option 1: AWS Bedrock (Australia Region) Deploy Claude through AWS Bedrock in the Sydney region (ap-southeast-2). AWS has a Business Associate Agreement and commits to processing data within the specified region. This is the most straightforward path for Australian healthcare organisations.
Option 2: Negotiate Data Residency with Anthropic For large healthcare organisations or health systems, Anthropic may be willing to negotiate data residency commitments as part of the BAA. This typically requires an enterprise contract and is not available through the standard self-serve API.
